Andrea Marcello Mambuca received his B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Trento (Trento, Italy) in 2013. He obtained his M.Sc. in Theoretical and Computational Physics from the University of Trento in 2016 and a joint Diploma from SISSA (Trieste, Italy) for successful completion of the joint Master's Degree Trento-SISSA. Andrea earned his Ph.D in Applied Mathematics from King's College London (UK) in 2021. During his academic career Andrea has been awarded a different numbers of prizes: a Merit Prize from University of Trento for his B.Sc.; the Membership of Uni.Team.Trento as selected (swimming) athlete-student during his Undergraduate Degree; a competitive Master’s Degree Scholarship funded jointly by SISSA; and the University of Trento and two Nominations for the “Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award” in 2018 and 2020 at King's College London (UK). Andrea's research focuses on the stability properties of complex systems, modelled as large networks made of interacting units and inspired by real-world systems. In collaboration with Prof. Chiara Cammarota and Dr. Izaak Neri he obtained novel results that shed new light on the interplay between stability and complexity. Currently Andrea works at Citi as a Quant for the EMEA Cash Equities (CR) team within the Markets Division.
